Day Club
Age Concern Eastbourne's Day Care Centre is located in the lounge at the William & Patricia Venton Centre. Teams of care staff and volunteers offer a warm and friendly environment in which local housebound older people can socialize away from their home situation. Activities provided are both social and therapeutic including outside speakers and agencies visiting to offer additional services. A charge is made for the service, which includes a delicious 3 course lunch. Meetings are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. For further information contact Julie Clarke.
Age Concern Products and Services
Age Concern Enterprises offers a range of products and services designed with the needs of the over 50s in mind. It arranges insurance through a network of Appointed Representatives operating from around 300 local Age Concerns across the UK. Age Concern Enterprises is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Any profits generated by Age Concern from these products go directly to support Age Concern's charitable activities both locally and nationally.

Nanette and Linda offer hands on healing service on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m

All services available from fully trained staff by appointment, Monday to Friday.
Assisted Bathing
Assisted bathing service is available at the Venton Centre where we have premises with a very spacious bathroom equipped for this purpose. There is a hoist which can be used to assist clients to be lowered into the bath.
This service can be used for any client over 50 who are unable to bath themselves, but do not require nursing.
Age Concern has staff to assist you, and will provide towels and other equipment.
The cost of this service is just £6.00 per session payable in advance. For further information contact Julie Clarke.

Drop in Pensions Advice
Pensions Advice is given free by two workers from the Pensions Service at the Venton Centre from 10.00am to 12.00pm every Tuesday and from 10.00am to 12.00pm every Friday. Appointments are not necessary.
Also Plummer Parsons runs a free Tax Shop service on the first Wednesday of each month. Please note that there is no service in August or September.

Toe Nail Cutting Service
For only a small charge, a toenail cutting service is available across the County for the benefit of older people for whom the NHS chiropody service is no longer available. Trained volunteers provide the service in central venues in certain areas or if appropriate will offer a domiciliary service. Referral can be made through the doctor, by individuals or via other statutory and voluntary organisations.

Pam, Cindy, Carol and their team give a warm and friendly service at reasonable prices, appropriate to the needs of older people.
